Whether you're dealing with a leftover stump from a removal years ago or want to bundle grinding with a fresh removal, our commercial-grade grinders reduce stumps to wood chips quickly and cleanly. We grind to 8–12 inches below grade by default, deep enough for successful replanting, sod installation, or paving.
Nassau County's clay-heavy soils and mature tree root systems can make stump removal particularly challenging. Our experienced operators handle stumps of all sizes — from small ornamentals to the root plates of 80-year-old oaks — without damaging surrounding lawn, irrigation systems, or hardscaping.
After grinding, we rake out the wood chips and leave the site clean. You can request that we backfill with topsoil for an additional fee, making the area ready for immediate seeding or sodding. Chip material can also be left on-site for use as mulch if you prefer.
Serving Plainview, Syosset, Bethpage, Hicksville, Woodbury, Jericho, Melville, Farmingdale, Old Bethpage, Levittown, Massapequa, and all of Nassau County.
